Trust chairman Rob Hughes, said: “On behalf of our Council of Governors and the Trust Board of Directors, I would like to extend our congratulations to Alison on being elected to the Council of Governors. We look forward to working with her in 2018. Alison was successful following an election held among our Foundation Trust members living in the Huntingdonshire area in December 2017. Thank you to all those members who took the time to vote.”

Alison said: “I have worked in the NHS and Public Health over the last five years and seen first-hand the challenges the NHS faces financially and in tackling increased demand. Priority Digital Health awarded Innovate UK grant to develop GP demand management platform

With funding from Innovate UK, Priority Digital Health is carrying out a feasibility study for our digital screening and demand-management tool priority.you, to enable GP practices to triage patients into — or out of — practices safely and effectively according to need. While acting as a gatekeeper for appointment bookings, priority.you will not be designed to turn people away. For those who could be supported elsewhere, it will offer a range of targeted self-care, social prescribing and community healthcare services as alternative options.

Collaborating with GP surgeries, CCGs and research organisations as well as Health Enterprise East we aim to analyse and evaluate the full potential of priority.you. We are still inviting interested parties to be involved with our study. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more.
