We are looking for a Level 3 Apprentice to join the existing development team for a 13 – 15 month apprenticeship. You will help develop our established and successful platform, web applications and mobile apps.

We provide a dynamic and forward-looking working environment, coupled with an experienced team of developers, system operations engineers, and customer services/testing team. We are a small, close knit team of industry professionals, totalling over 70 years of experience. Cambridge is one of the leading tech-centres in the UK and we are based in a prime location, within 15 minutes’ drive of the city centre.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Working with the team on our existing platform and its on-going development
  • Helping develop new modules or products
  • Supporting the production of instructional documentation for training and sales
  • Product support and bug fixing
  • Assisting in the planning and estimation of development costs

Desired skills:

  • Enjoy keeping abreast of the latest technologies
  • Possess the ability to work both independently, and seamlessly coordinate as part of a team
  • Have logical and creative thinking skills, to think about things differently
  • An incredible attention to detail —spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors are your enemy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to hold collaborative conversations about project needs
  • Problem solving (We’d love to have no problems, but they do sometimes arise!)

Desired qualifications:

  • 5 GCSE’s grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths) and ideally an IT / Tech subject

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
