Alison Meadows has been elected as a public governor for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which oversees the running of Hinchingbrooke, Peterborough City and Stamford and Rutland Hospitals.
Alison will join the Foundation Trust’s Council of Governors and will represent members living in the Huntingdonshire constituency.
Trust chairman Rob Hughes, said: “On behalf of our Council of Governors and the Trust Board of Directors, I would like to extend our congratulations to Alison on being elected to the Council of Governors. We look forward to working with her in 2018. Alison was successful following an election held among our Foundation Trust members living in the Huntingdonshire area in December 2017. Thank you to all those members who took the time to vote.”
Alison said: “I have worked in the NHS and Public Health over the last five years and seen first-hand the challenges the NHS faces financially and in tackling increased demand. This is an exciting opportunity for me to play a part in the new Trust. I am a strong believer in giving something back and feel this is a good opportunity to get involved.
